What do you think about the perfect leader?
You might think that someone who has deep knowledge in your field or someone who holds a position of authority/power.
What do you think if a leader shouts at you in front of many people or the leader does not trust their staff? I have been in this situation before, and I felt down and wanted to quit that job immediately.
So, in my opinion, a good leader is someone who never lets their temper get out of control, regardless of the problems they are facing.
To become a leader like that, we need to have a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ), especially focusing on improving self-awareness. The leader must have a deep understanding of how their emotions will affect the people around them.
And how to improve this?
Going back to our lesson, self-awareness is the topic I like the most. Before studying that lesson, I never really spent much time reflecting on myself or analyzing my emotions.
After that lesson, I felt motivated to improve my self-awareness. I decided to dedicate a few minutes each day to ponder my actions and understand why I behave the way I do. I also started writing down my thoughts, thinking that it would help me reach a higher level of self-awareness.
